AWFS Adds and Relocates

The Association of Woodworking and Furnishings Suppliers® (AWFS®) announced that it will begin the new year by relocating its headquarters to an expanded facility located at 500 Citadel Drive, Suite 200 in Commerce, Calif. The association says its new offices will offer nearly three times the operational space, is only a mile from the current headquarters and will accommodate additional staff to handle its current programs and future growth.

AWFS says it continues to develop industry membership, advocacy, educational programs and the semi-annual AWFS®Fair. It says the launch of www.WoodIndustryEd.org serves as a highlight of its innovations, offers education and training information pertinent to the woodworking and related industries, and features a searchable database of wood technology courses that are available through schools, technical centers and companies, ranging from short certificate training programs to comprehensive post-secondary programs.

AWFS has also announced that Rosalie Rowe has joined as its new vice president of operations. Rowe has more than 20 years experience in directing finance and operations objectives for several home health care companies, a background in working with non-profit organizations and holds a certified public accounting license in California.

She began her career as a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen and Co., later became the vice president of finance for the Visiting Nurse Association of Inland Counties and Option One Home Medical Equipment, then served on the board of directors of the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) and the Hospice Foundation.
