Birchwood Lumber & Veneer (BLV) Co., based in Birchwood, Wis.,
has purchased the former Mapleton Furniture plant in Thorp, Wis.
BLV plans to begin production in Thorp before the end of the year and
plans to employ up to 100 employees within two years. The company currently
has 240 employees at its facility in Birchwood.
