Boise Builds Distribution Center on Gulf Coast

Boise Building Materials Distribution (BBMD), a division of Boise Cascade LLC, has announced it is building a new distribution center near Pensacola, in Milton, Fla. The new 27-acre site will house an 80,000-square-foot warehouse, is located near major truck transportation corridors and will be rail served. Completion is scheduled for late in the first quarter of 2007 and gives the company a total of 30 U.S. locations.

Senior vice president Stan Bell said, "We look forward to bringing our unique, local market focus and service capabilities to customers in the area." He said the new facility and BBMD associates will serve a market driven by the rebuilding needed after hurricane Katrina and development in the Florida panhandle.
