Brosco and JELD-WEN Create Partnership
East Coast door dealers just got a glimpse of the future, and it was fiberglass.
That future was showcased at an event hosted at the Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut in January, when nearly 250 regional door dealers converged to preview the latest in fiberglass door designs and learn more about the results of a recent deal inked between JELD-WEN and Brosco, an East Coast door distributor. JELD-WEN, a manufacturer of doors and windows, has become the sole supplier of fiberglass doors to Brosco and has introduced a wide variety of new designs.
At the event, JELD-WEN highlighted the multiple styles and new designs that will be offered as part of four distinct fiberglass door lines through Brosco.
Charlie Smith, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Brosco, and Rod Wendt, president and CEO of JELD-WEN, spoke at the event, describing how the growing partnership between the two family-owned, privately-held companies is a major advantage for the industry, customers and homeowners.
“The strong partnership between JELD-WEN and BROSCO is seen as a very positive development by dealers. Fiberglass is definitely a growth category, and now they have more reliable options to offer their customers than ever before,” said Chris Wray, JELD-WEN national product sales manager, exterior doors - steel & fiberglass.
