CertainTeed's Parent Company Names New CEO

Jacques Aschenbroich has been named president and chief executive officer (CEO) of CertainTeed's parent company, Saint-Gobain Corp., the $8.5 billion Valley Forge, Pa.-based manufacturer of packaging, construction products and high-performance materials. Saint-Gobain Corp. is the holding company for Compagnie de Saint-Gobain's U.S. and Canada operations.

Aschenbroich succeeds Jean-François Phelizon, who is returning to Compagnie de Saint-Gobain's Paris headquarters as senior vice president and advisor to Saint-Gobain's global CEO, Pierre-André de Chalendar.

Aschenbroich will combine his responsibilities as president and CEO of Saint-Gobain Corp. with his existing roles as president of Saint-Gobain's high-performance materials sector and head of the group's innovation and research and development activities.

A native of Lyon, France, Aschenbroich is a graduate of École des Mines de Paris, a world renowned engineering school. He joined Saint-Gobain in 1988 and has held a number of high-level management posts, including president of the flat glass sector.
