EastCoast Mouldings to Expand and Improve in North Wilkesboro

EastCoast Mouldings Co., a division of ECMD Inc. of North Wilkesboro, N.C., has announced it plans to expand the production capacity of its manufacturing facility in Wilkesboro, N.C. The company manufactures mouldings for both retail and new construction supply channels and will continue to manufacture its current product lines, but also outfit the plant for production of some new categories to be announced at a later date, effectively doubling its capacity.

Company president Al Delbridge explained, "Not only will we be increasing its capacity, we'll be installing equipment that will make it even more efficient." He also said, "While many of our lower-cost moulding products are produced offshore, we manufacture our high-quality premium moulding line right here in North Carolina."

The company says it expects the plant modifications and equipment installation to be completed by mid-year 2007.
