Huttig Building Products, Inc., based in St. Louis, has named Kenneth D. Kuehn as vice president, national accounts division, reporting to Carl Liliequist, Huttig's executive vice president.

Kuehn will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing Huttig's expanded activities with high volume national and regional customers, including managing the company's national accounts team. One of Huttig's key business strategies is to leverage its national presence to expand sales and services for professional dealers that purchase through national and regional chains and buying groups.

Prior to forming CK Solutions, a consulting and executive recruiting company serving primarily the building products industry, three years ago, Kuehn was vice president of professional sales for Payless Cashways, Inc. from 2000 to 2001. He was vice president of sales and marketing and national accounts for Wickes Lumber, Inc. from 1998 to 2000, having joined the company in 1985 as a district vice president. Earlier in his career, Kuehn owned and managed a home construction company and built custom homes in the Dallas market. He is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is active in the National Association of Home Builders.
