Intek Plastics Announces New Management Team
Hastings, Minn.-based Intek Plastics, Inc., has strengthened its management
team by blending Intek veterans with other industry veterans into a
team whose structure mirrors their lean manufacturing practices. These
management changes include:

Promoting Rob Tracy to the position of chief operating
officer responsible for leading Intek's "Lean Journey" and
working with John Penn, chairperson and chief executive officer, to
transform the entire organization to work together for continuous
improvement and change. Prior to joining Intek as vice president of
operations in 2003, Tracy led the lean procurement efforts for Pentair
Corp. He has almost 20 years experience in the window and door industry,
including six projects to implement lean transformations.

Moving Alan Colliander from vice president of sales
and marketing to the position of vice president of technology and
development, responsible for managing Intek's investment in core competencies
to better equip the company for meeting the future needs of their
customers. Previously director of OEM sales with Bordner and Associates,
Colliander re-joined Intek in 2003 to join them in their new lean
focus. He was with Intek from 1980 to 1990 in various positions and
has a total of 24 years industry experience.

Promoting Mike Kinning to vice president of sales
responsible for leading Intek's sales efforts and revenue growth.
Kinning is a 14-year Intek veteran who has held a variety of management
positions, most recently as the director of operations at Intek's
south Hastings plant. He has over 20 years experience in the industry.

Promoting Mike Kafczynski to director of manufacturing,
responsible for directing Intek's manufacturing operations including
the implementation of lean manufacturing processes. Kafczynski is
a five-year Intek veteran with a wide variety of manufacturing management
experience and was also a general manager/owner of a general contracting
company.

Expanding Steve Glienke's responsibilities as controller
to include those of director of business planning, responsible for
lean accounting, operations planning, forecasting, and inventory control.
Glienke has 10 years experience in the plastics industry.
