NOFMA Names New Officers, Board Members at Annual Meeting

The Wood Flooring Manufacturers Association (NOFMA) of Memphis, Tenn., elected John Clark, Cherrybark Flooring, Hazelhurst, Miss., to lead the association as president for 2005. Clark had been the association's vice president in 2004. Elected to serve as vice president for 2005 was Jim Duke, Memphis Hardwood Flooring, Memphis, Tenn.

Board members elected to a three-year term beginning in 2005 are Dick Quinlan, Armstrong Wood Products, Inc., Lancaster, Pa.; Jason Delves, BLC Hardwood Flooring Co., Macon, Ga.; and Tommy Maxwell, Maxwell Flooring, Monticello, Ark., who renewed his term after serving the previous three years. Sam Sharp, Partee Flooring Mill, Magnolia, Ark., Buzz Spivey, Cumberland Lumber & Manufacturing, McMinnville, Tenn., Bill Buchanan, Buchanan Hardwood Flooring Co., Aliceville, Ala., and Bob Haggard, Hassell & Hughes, Collinwood, Tenn., will also serve on the 2005 Board, fulfilling their respective terms.

The NOFMA board also named the following committee chairs at the annual meeting:

  • Governmental Affairs and Education-Jonathan Temple, Cherrybark Flooring, Hazlehurst, Miss.
  • Grading, Milling and Inspection Committee-Co-Chairpersons Ron Leslein, BLC Hardwood Flooring, Macon, Ga.; and Doug Fikes, Buchanan Hardwood Floors, Aliceville, Ala.
  • Membership & Planning Committee-Co-Chairpersons Buzz Spivey, Cumberland Lumber & Mfg., McMinnville, Tenn.; and Jason Delves, BLC Hardwood Flooring, Macon, Ga.
  • Promotion & Marketing Committee-Chairperson Bill Buchanan, Buchanan Hardwood Floors, Aliceville, Ala.
  • Technical Committee - Chairperson Warren Spradlin, Cherrybark Flooring, Hazelhurst, Miss.
  • Associate Member Advisory Committee - Co-Chairpersons John Troendle, Crescent Hardwood Supply,
