Robert Menzner Passes Away

Robert J. Menzner of Marathon, Wis., passed away on August 12, 2005, after a three-year battle with cancer. In 1968, Bob began his career at Menzner Lumber & Supply Co., now a 110-year-old family business. He was the third generation of Menzner's to run the family business. Bob enjoyed the millwork industry immensely and the many friendships that were formed. He retired on October 31, 2000.

Bob was a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., and served in Vietnam. He was also active in various community organizations.

Bob is survived by his wife, Grace, two sons, Philip and Jeffrey, and two daughters, Kristen and Cynthia, along with nine grandchildren.

Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon, Wis., on August 18, 2005. Donations in Bob's memory can be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 712 Market Street, Marathon, WI 54448.
