ProBuild Buys Again
ProBuild Holdings, a Denver-based building materials provider, has finalized the purchase of North Atlanta–based Jasper Lumber Co. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The Jasper purchase follows closely on the heels of ProBuild’s acquisition of HD Supply’s lumber and building material business which operates as Williams Brothers Lumber in Atlanta. ProBuild officials say the combination of both acquisitions positions it as the preeminent player in the number-two market in the nation in terms of building permits.
Jasper Lumber is comprised of a lumber yard and a truss and millwork manufacturing facility located in Kennesaw, Ga. The company also operates a lumber distribution business located in Cumming, Ga. Both facilities have built a solid reputation for having strong management and exceptional service to area builders and contractors.
“Jasper Lumber is an outstanding, well-run operation,” says Jim Cavanaugh, ProBuild South region president. “This acquisition, along with the previously announced acquisition of HD Supply’s LBM operation, positions us well to serve all segments of the Atlanta market.”
“We are very excited about the opportunity to join the ProBuild family of companies as we see substantial opportunities for our team members,” says Bill Adams, Jasper Lumber owner. “The cultural fit between ProBuild and Jasper provides us every chance to succeed as we pursue a combined business model.”
