Stock Racks Up Another Company

Stock Building Supply continues on it's buying spree in North America with the purchase of ProSource Building Supply Ltd. in Houston.

The company acquired certain assets of ProSource from Cary Miles and Tracy Manes on August 6, 2007. ProSource is a construction services business supplying primarily commercial doors, trim, hardwood, related speciality products and installation services operating from two facilities in Houston. In the year ended December 31, 2006, ProSource had revenue of $17.2 million and gross assets of $3.2 million at that date. Stock's parent company, Wolsey plc says this acquisition is in line with Stock's strategy to expand its presence in the commercial and industrial market.

In 2005, Stock acquired the assets of Lee Window & Door Company, as well as Perfection Truss Co. Inc.
