Vetter Windows Announces Winners of Fifth Annual VIP Awards Mosinee, Wis.,-based Vetter® Windows & Doors has announced the winners of the 2005 Vetter Inspired Project (VIP) awards, the annual design contest that recognizes architectural inspiration and ingenuity among architects and custom builders. The category winners in the fifth annual competition include a vintage bungalow in Deep Creek Lake, Md. and a traditional early 20th century home in Chevy Chase, Md. The Best of Show winner, selected from the category winners, will be announced in January. The judges also selected two honorable mentions including a prairie-style, four-story bay-view home in Duxbury, Mass. Entering its sixth year in 2006, the VIP contest is an annual competition open to any commercial or residential project that uses Vetter windows or patio doors to enhance a project's design. Winners receive a $1,000 cash prize, professional photography of their project and are featured in Vetter's national marketing efforts. The Best of Show winner receives an additional $1,000 prize. In the 2005 contest, winners and honorable mentions were selected in three of six categories by four professionals related to the field of architecture and custom design. "I'm thrilled with the creativity and distinctiveness this year's VIP winners brought to the table," said Jeff Kibler, Vetter brand manager. "In its fifth year, the contest continues to draw a notable variety of architecture that uses Vetter products." Vetter will soon begin accepting entries for the 2006 VIP competition. In 2006, the competition is open to projects completed through landscaping after Jan. 1, 2003, and before June 30, 2006. Project owners must consent to photography and publicity to be eligible to win. The entry deadline for 2006 VIP Awards is July 1, 2006. The call for entries will be available in January at Vetter's booth at the International Builders' Show. Official entry forms will also be available in January on the Vetter website at www.vetterwindows.com. There is no fee to enter the contest. | |
