Windsor Joins "Make a Difference Day"

Windsor Windows & Doors of West Des Moines, Iowa, joined millions of Americans in "Make a Difference Day," October 28, 2006, by donating the windows for a Kernel Cottage to be given away to a family in need. The cottage is an extension of the Katrina Cottage, which was designed for Gulf Coast victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Following Katrina, a group of architects designed Katrina Cottages as an alternative to FEMA trailers. The company says they are designed to utilize every cubic space and provide the accommodations most people are accustom to. It says the cottages are a safe, affordable home that families can take pride in for years.
