WMMPA Promises Diverse Speaker Line-Up
The Wood Moulding and Millwork Producers Association (WMMPA) will host more than 15 speakers in its Winter Business Meeting, to be held March 12-15 at the Westin Mission Hills Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif. WMMPA says its speakers will address a wide variety of topics relating to PVC/poly, MDF and wood mouldings and millwork.
In “PVC in Today’s Green Building and Construction Market,” Sylvia Moore of Shintech Inc. will discuss where PVC comes from, cost influencers in the manufacture of PVC and vinyl compound, why PVC is considered a green plastic and what you can do in your business to make quality mouldings for the green building and construction market.
Richard A. Cook of National Casein of California will explain how increased resin costs are affecting bottom line. He will also discuss future costs that will continue to influence business decisions.
Claus Staalner, WoodEye North America, will cover scanners, what they can do, why you should be interested in using one in your operation and how scanners work for smaller volume production.
The list of topics goes on. For more information, contact WMMPA 530/661-9591 or info@wmmpa.com.
