IWF Announces the Retirement of John Zinn

The International Woodworking Machinery & Supply Fair (IWF) announced recently that senior vice president John Zinn will retire at the end of December 2004. Zinn will continue to serve as a special projects consultant to the Fair.

Zinn joined IWF in 1981 and has served the Fair continuously since that time.

Patrick LaFramboise, president and chief executive officer of IWF, expressed the gratitude of IWF for John's many years of service and said that IWF would not have experienced its successful growth as the leading industry show for the Western Hemisphere without John Zinn's guiding influence over the past 23 years.

LaFramboise wished Zinn success and happiness in his well-earned retirement and indicated his appreciation that John, who for years has been a larger-than-life figure within the woodworking industry, would continue to provide wisdom and insight in his new role as consultant to IWF.

"Throughout John's service, John has helped guide the fair," said LaFramboise. "He was an early advocate of building a culture of continuous improvement, and his example has helped IWF establish and maintain the pre-eminent position in the tradeshow industry."

IWF is owned and sponsored by American Home Furnishings Alliance (AHFA), Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America (WMMA) and Woodworking Machinery Industry Association (WMIA).
